Day.Seventy.Eight.

Monday. Whew was it busy!!

After school today, I had a list of things to do all before my meeting. 1. fill out injury report 2. get sub plans ready for two days of jury duty 3. get to my meeting 4. head home after my meeting, feed dogs, take dogs out, change my clothes 5. head to the Braves baseball game.

All of this by 5:00. I did pretty good. I made it by 5:20 and it was a great game. The Braves pulled out a win!! Woo Hoo!

I am glad to be home and able to relax and watch the tube. I love to just relax. Jury duty tomorrow and Wednesday. I think this week is going to fly by!

Day.Sixty.Four.

Well, the baseball season is coming to a close. I really like the group of kids that are on the team this year. One has a special place in my heart. His name is Tyler and he reminds me SO much of John. He is a good kid who is always willing to help us out. (ok... help me out when John is out of town) This young man would shovel our driveway, cut our grass, and even made sure John was able to get his car after I got stuck one day in the snow early in the morning. His parents are so sweet as well. I know he will do great things in the future!

The senior night game was fun to watch. There was a lot of support from fellow classmates who play different sports. Sometimes, when John comes home and he is grading and griping, it is hard to picture these high school kids. I know how my friends and I were in high school... so it is strange to hear some of John's stories. But this group... just some really good kids who genuinely care.
Kudos to you parents!

Check out these two crazies! (I'm telling you.. they could be twins)

Day.Forty.Seven.

TGIF! (I wish that show line up was still on TV)

After school, I headed home, took care of the pups, and then went to the rivalry game between John's team, Olentangy and Olentangy Liberty. I am so glad that Jamie was there to keep me company. We sat on the wrong side of the bleachers.. so we cheered and they jeered. They cheered and we jeered! It was a good game that really kept me interested. Unfortunately, they lost... with a loss comes unhappy boys. So, we were plotting whether or not we could get them to go out to dinner or not.... it was a tough sell, but it worked! We got to go out to Buffalo Wings and Rings. Yum! I walked in and asked the young man for a table for four. He said a few minutes, how about this booth. Then, being difficult, we ask if we could have the one with the game center on it. (just girls here...) He says, "well, I am not supposed to seat there, but I will ask..." (Cue boy entrance) Waitor turns around and says (spotting the boys) "Are you with them?! Sure we can sit you there..." Are they famous?? I felt dissed! But, we got the table! We enjoyed dinner and fun games of photo hunt!! We rocked.. officially.

After a late dinner and exhausting day, we headed home to hang out with the puppies.

Day.Thirty.Seven.

Well.. today was pretty eventful!

1. All Day SACC-Always an adventure. The kids have been GREAT this week. Tomorrow, I get to work the afternoon shift.. so maybe their personalities will change!

2. Lunch and girl talk with Tiffany (and Ellia and Remae). I had to return all of the wonderful tupperware and such to Tiff from the shower, so we decided to meet at Five Guys. Yumm! The girls got a hot dog, and I was jealous. <Iwillgetitnexttime> I get to help Tiff bake later this month! I love to hang out with her. We have so much in common. You would think we were raised next door to each other. haha (we weren't, but God knew what he was doing by choosing us to marry the men we did and make us sisters)

3. Driving home to check on the dogs and catch up on the DVR before John's baseball game (never did get to, had to call the cable company and they have to make a stop over)... I check facebook on my way home... and see the headline "Olentangy High School Evacuated for Bomb Threat". WHAT? So I call John to make sure he is ok, and get the scoop. Everyone is ok and the game was cancelled. I shouldn't be excited about that, but I get to spend the entire night with my husband... unheard of during baseball season!

4. Naptime: Unheard of in baseball season as well, John and I got to take a nap! (I always am jealous of children who still get to nap daily... can we get mandatory naps for adults? I think we would all be more effective.)

5. Dinner: We decided to go get Mexican food (at our favorite Mi Cerrito). It was hard to look at the movie theater across the street, and WAITING to see The Hunger Games. (That is for Saturday...)

6. Dessert: Delaware has a fabulous and delicious custard place... WHITS! It is so amazing! I don't know what it is about that place, but we can just crush some ice cream! I got the special flavor: brownie carmel swirl. YUMM!

7. Relax: Well, we are home and watching the opening game of the season. The new Miami stadium looks pretty night and flashy! Pups are sleeping, John is working on his grad school homework, and I am blogging. All is right in the world.

*I have really been blessed this spring break to take time to relax, visit friends and family, and put aside some aspects of life (cleaning, working out) to focus on those relationships.*
My week has proven this quote. And I am only half way through!

Day.Twenty.Four

Sorry this is a day late, but I was so busy last night, I didn't get a chance to write.

Well, after a day at school, I ran home to take care of the dogs and headed straight to Polaris Mall to meet up with Laurienne! (and I got to see Celia too!) We met to get some stuff for the upcoming shower at Party City. I will be making a lot of things from scratch with the help and guidance of Pinterest. The theme is 'Two Peas in a Pod' so we are going with the green and white color scheme... a hint of pink and blue, of course. I got to hang out with Celia! She is precious and getting so big! We bonded quickly.. could it have been my ridiculousness of making facing and trying to earn her love!? I did get a KISS goodbye. Laurienne said she doesn't just do that to anyone... so, I feel the love. Check out our photo session in the back of my car. (It was pretty sunny!)
 Oh, the binkie!
 CHEESE! Piggie tails and all!
-Silly face, of course-

After we finished shopping, I headed to meet my fellow baseball widow for dinner. Yumm! We both got the same food, classic. Tito, our waiter, was trying to be a comedian. He wasn't that funny. Of course, on our way outside of the the HOT FRESH sign at Krispy Kreme lit the night! Jamie hadn't had them fresh off the line, so we had to go in and get one! We went in and the gave us a FREE one! Then we HAD to buy more. They didn't make it home and we definitely have a lot of running to do to get rid of those calories! We have a goal for this summer, and we are going to make it!

Adi and Aspen thoroughly enjoyed sleeping on the temperpedic with just mommy! We spread out and and slept like babies! Look how well rested Adi was this morning!
Off to write today's post... hehe

Day.Twenty.Three

84 Degrees on March 20th!

After a great day at school (day two of ice cream sundaes) I decided I would take Adi to John's baseball game. The game was moved to home, so I knew I could make it!

After a quick run to the store, I came home, ran around getting the dogs fed, and then headed to the game with Adi in tow. She love to put her head out the window of the back seat! She also loves going on trips. She can handle the car ride and will just 'hang out' in the back seat. I don't complain one bit! Aspen (the beagle) is another story. She stayed home today...

The wonderful thing about Adi is that she draws a lot of attention. She is a bigger dog. She is a mix of a cane-corso and neopolitan mastiff. We thought she would be bigger, but she is staying steady at about 90 pounds. She is beautiful and very gentle. She will just sit and watch her surroundings.

So, we get to the game. We walk over and hang out with John's dad for a bit before he heads home. Adi, in true form, just wanders and looks around. A small kid, I would say 4, comes up to Adi and asks if he can pet her. I have never had any issues with Adi and children. (I think my dogs know it is a requirement to deal with all and any torture from children under the age of 10...) So, thinking he would just pet her, I said, 'sure'. Well... the cutest thing ever happened next! This little boy and Adi were about the same height. They were face-to-face. He just grabbed her face and squished it all around! Adi just loved the attention! It was adorable to see him just get in her face and play with her. That same little boy came by us about 6 more times. How sweet. I think he used the bathroom just as an excuse to pet the puppy.

Adi enjoyed the time outside and really liked all the people who would come and talk to her and pet her. She was in her heaven!

Here are some super cute pictures of Adi at the game:

-We tested out the bleachers, she didn't enjoy the noises they made..but she was brave-

Have a great night & welcome to baseball season!

Day.Thirteen.

Saturday! WOO HOO! I got to sleep in today...snuggled with the puppies. They are beautiful and I should share a picture:
(she doesn't share well)
After getting ready for the day, I headed to run a TON of errands. I headed into school and got my copies and plans done. I went to the baseball fields to get them lunch. (Baseball season has arrived). I got to visit Tiffany, Pete, Ellia and Remae! I had to talk to Tiff about the upcoming baby shower. She is a wizard in the kitchen, so I went to get a handle on the plans that are in my head. I got my portfolios printed, delivered one, and even got to buy dinner from a delicious BBQ place in Delaware. (They give FREE pickles! I can't pass that up!)

John and I got to enjoy dinner with no dishes. The dogs were exhausted when I got home, and haven't woken up. I get to finish my lesson plans, upload, and create the newsletter. I enjoy getting all of my work done before Sunday. Then, I can truly enjoy and relax on the day of rest.

Speaking of lesson planning, I am addicted to Pinterest and the wonderful ideas that I find. John doesn't love social media, but he doesn't complain when I make a new recipe from Pinterest! I try to at least USE what I pin. I want to do more of the crafts, but that takes money and time. I love the foods that I have tried. Check out my boards. You can follow me by clicking on the Pinterest symbol. The thinspiration boards that I follow really make me think about my weight loss goals. I have been trying to lose a total of 20 pounds by summer time! I am down 7 as of this morning. I haven't been to the gym in two weeks. That sentence gives me shame.... I MUST return. I can only lose more weight if I get going to the gym. I am still changing my eating habits, and refraining filling myself completely, but the gym can only help!

Time to SPRING FORWARD! I am already tired!
